From Fairbanks, Alaska to Corpus Christi, Texas

From New York City to Honolulu

Wally Chambers has entertained in a wide variety of venues, including posh supper clubs and show-oriented clubs on the Nevada circuit. After working with and leading many musical groups throughout the past, Wally has been performing as a single for the last several years, showcasing his abilities as a keyboardist and saxophonist while utilizing original, recorded tracks when necessary to produce a full danceable sound.

Your venue or special occasion will be extra special with Wally Chambers entertaining your guests.  A versatile performer and popular crowd-pleaser, Wally is equally at ease playing gentle melodies on the piano or upping the tempo to fill the dance floor. He creates a mellow ambience with the music of legends such as Cole Porter, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra and Burt Bacharach. Then as the night develops, he can step up the tempo and dance material to include the sounds of  Glenn Miller, Creedance Clearwater Revival, Elvis, and Wilson Pickett to name a few.

Ink drawings are art out loud

As an artist, Wally draws on musical heritage in jazz to produce spontaneous works of art. He chose the medium of ink because, like improvisation in jazz, he found it allowed him a certain amount of freedom. Though he possesses no formal training, his work has recently garnered some professional attention.

To accompany exhibitions of Wally's work, a book has been published that contains some of Chambers' artwork along with text by Drury University art history professor Thomas Parker, who explores Chambers' past and artistic motivations. Parker takes Chambers' free-flowing visual style and translates it into the language of the artistic community.

The subject material of his work varies and no topic is too mundane or complex for Chambers to tackle. Some take the form of small doodles akin to political cartoons that illustrate Chambers' view on various subjects. Others are more abstract and require an observer to spend some time searching the multitude of lines to discover layers of meaning.  The book includes over 60 drawings.
